The hardware every project needs and nobody wants to make
An automation project is documented in drawings, but it materialises as parts: brackets, frames, guarding, panels, fixtures. It is the portion usually subcontracted to a third party, and also the portion that usually arrives late and out of size.
Here it is not subcontracted: it comes out of our shop — the same one behind the CNC machining — and it is measured before it is delivered.

Checking fixtures deserve their own paragraph
A checking fixture is only worth having if it repeats. If the fixture itself is out of tolerance it does not measure the part: it adds its own error to the part's and produces rejects that do not exist — or worse, passes parts that do not conform.
That is why every fixture leaving here goes through dimensional validation against its nominal model, and we deliver that evidence with the device. It is exactly the traceability an automotive quality system requires.
From an existing part to a finished fixture
If the fixture has to locate a part you have no CAD for, the route is already solved in-house: 3D scanning to capture the real geometry, reverse engineering to turn it into a model, and machining to build the fixture around it.
