A fault that keeps returning is not bad luck
When a line stops for the same reason every few weeks, the problem is rarely the part that was replaced. It is a process whose reliability nobody has measured. And until it is measured, the plant pays three bills at once:
- Lost production every time the stoppage repeats
- Operational risk, because nobody knows when the next one is due
- Dependence on reaction instead of prevention — the team fights fires and never gets to improve anything
How we approach it
1. Diagnose
Identifying the root cause is what lets you define the real problem. It avoids the arbitrary replacement of spare parts and prevents the phantom faults and alarms that consume entire shifts without resolving anything.
2. Implement and improve
Once the cause is established we issue a technical assessment and set real metrics. Without numbers, "it improved" is an opinion, and nobody can defend the investment to management with an opinion.
